New Training System Launch
The VDQGBSA is pleased to announce that the new user-friendly training system is now live and available to members.
The enhanced VDQGBSA Training System includes the following features:
- Interactive CPD content
- Immediate certification upon successful completion of a quiz or assessment
- CPD progress tracking
- Training reports for individuals and companies, including the recording of non-system activities for comprehensive reporting
- A document library containing VDQGBSA policies for easy reference
- An events calendar featuring VDQGBSA meetings and upcoming events
- An integrated communication system
Members should have received an email from cpd@acdevelop.co.za containing:
- Instructions on how to log into the system
- A temporary password (which can be changed after login)
- A link to a step-by-step video guide explaining how to use the system
Please note that the system is currently in the final stages of development. The following items are still being finalised:
- Carryover of surplus CPD points from the previous cycle
- Certificates from the previous CPD system will not be available on the new system
- Members may, however, download an Activity Report reflecting completed activities
- Issuing of Letters of Good Standing
- Additional training content, including the Mechanical Training Programme

The Vehicle Damage Quantification Governance Body of South Africa (VDQGBSA) is pleased to announce that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 24 June 2026.

VDQGBSA Membership Fees 2026 – Thank You For Growing With Us!
The VDQGBSA would like to extend its sincere appreciation to all members who have paid their 2026 membership fees. Thank you for your continued support, commitment, and confidence in the VDQGBSA. Your dedication continues to inspire our team and strengthen the professional standing of our industry.
Because of members like you, the VDQGBSA achieved an impressive 28% growth during 2025, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in our work and long-term vision.
In support of our members, the VDQGBSA has maintained a very lean and affordable budget and introduced a 5% discounted membership fee structure, which will remain effective until 30 June 2026.
Please note that, effective 1 July 2026, all membership renewals outstanding will be subject to a 5% late-payment adjustment fee, in accordance with the approved fee structure.
We are also pleased to announce that more than 85% of members have already paid their 2026 membership fees, reflecting strong support, commitment, and confidence across the profession.

Damage Quantifier Qualification through a statutory Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process

VDQGBSA has secured funding from INSETA to offer our members the opportunity to obtain this prestigious qualification through a statutory Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. We have partnered with Magals Training Academy to deliver this project.

WHO CAN APPLY?
To be considered, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
✔ Be a paid-up member of VDQGBSA
✔ Be a South African citizen with a valid RSA ID
✔ Be 19 years or older
✔ Have at least 3 years of vehicle damage quantification experience as an Assessor or Estimator, with proof of experience
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
If selected, you will:
✅ Complete and Sign a Learner Agreement with VDQ
✅ Complete and Sign a Magals/QCTO/InSeta/ MERSETA application forms to be registered with INSETA and QCTO through Magals Training Academy
✅ Sign POPI consent letter to share personal info with training partners.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION:
📌 Certified copy of your valid RSA ID (New ID Card Copy both sides)
📌 Certified proof of your VDQ-related work experience as Motor Damage Assessor or Motor Damage Estimator (Service Letter and/or Affidavit as proof of work experience)
RPL QUALIFICATION
- Step 1: Service provider will have introduction meetings with candidates to explain the process to follow
- Step 2: The candidate evaluate himself against the Curriculum Criteria (Knowledge and Work Experience)
- Step 3: In a POE all evidence of a candidate is gathered and assessed to determine if the candidate may proceed with the VDQ – RPL Process.
- Step 4: A teams meeting “Verification Interview” is arranged and the candidate and RPL Advisor complete the Evaluation / Interview Checklists.
- Step 5: The “Diagnostic Instrument” is then sent on-line to the candidate to complete and send back. Possible Skill Gaps in terms of the Curriculum Criteria are identified. If a candidate has no Gaps, the QCTO is informed, and the EISA Readiness process is completed by them and a SOR (Statement of Results) is issued to the candidate.
- Step 6: Candidates with gaps are assisted by Magals to close the gaps and prepare them for EISA and EISA Readiness.
- Step 7: Magals completes the VDQ – RPL Application for the candidate, the MerSeta issues a serial number and date, and the candidate goes to a QCTO Accredited Assessment Centre (Mahals is accredited to do the EISA)
- Step 8: The candidate gets 3 attempts at the EISA and if successful, receives the VDQ Qualification.
